Menary’s is an Irish owned family business established in 1923 which opened its first Irish store in Letterkenny in 1995, moving to a brand new premises in January of this year.
Since then the business has continually responded to its customers’ demands and expectations by expanding its current premises.
Menary’s has 21 separate departments, each of which operates to a strict set of ‘model’ store guidelines. This ensures consistency, efficiency and highest industry standards.
The business has a ‘make a diffierence’ culture which encourages team members to take the extra step and gives them a sense of ownership.
Menary’s use data analysis tools to suit offers to their local customers, continually adapting and changing what they do to meet expectations and continuing to support loyal customers with offers such as the ‘reward me’ scheme.

 

KellysCentraKelly’s Centra

Kelly’s Centra on the Mountain Top in Letterkenny is a family run business consisting of a recently redeveloped, fresh-orientated 5400 sq ft Centra store, a 150-seater restaurant and a fully-attended Topaz service station welcoming over 20,000 customers a week.
To meet the customers’ demands, the business spent €1million redeveloping the site which has seen the introduction of a butchers, instore bakery and an increase of double the amount of range the store previously carried.
Kelly’s Centra works closely with external auditors such as Customer Service Ireland which focuses on customer service and EIQA which focuses on hygiene standards.
The business used the I CARE customer care system, a tool used to train and improve staff behaviour in relation to custumer service basics and excellence by issuing guidelines.

GarysPetWorldGary’s Pet World

Gary’s Pet World was established in 1993 by Gary Cooney as a supermarket-style shop where customers can browse and buy from a vast range of competitively priced products. The staff at Gary’s focuses on advising pet owners how best they can care for their pets.
The team undertakes regular training in customer care striving to provide the best advice they can to customers visiting the shop.
Every team member is given full access to sales figures at bi-weekly team meetings in order to help them make decisions and changes to boost the business on a day-to-day basis, as well as adhering to the store’s customer care handbook.
Gary’s Pet World regularly revise their handbook and customer care policy to make sure that customers get the best service possible.
