Collision on road close to Donegal border


EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a collision close to Nixon’s Corner, Derry.  The collision occurred on the Letterkenny Road in Derry earlier this morning. Diversions are in place at the junction of Lone Moor Road. Police are currently in attendance and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.


Thunderstorm warning issued for Donegal


A YELLOW warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Donegal.  The warning is in place until 10pm tonight. Met Eireann is warning of scattered heavy showers with thunderstorms. Advertisement Possible impacts include spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.  


Road closed in Derry over suspected gas leak


The O’Donovan Road area of Derry is closed due to a suspected gas leak. Motorists are asked to avoid the Culmore Road area and take an alternative route for your journey. Police say they will provide an update in due course.
