In Their Thousands make Hot Press cover

A DONEGAL band has made this week’s special edition front page cover of Ireland’s premier music magazine, Hot Press.

Donegal Band – In Their Thousands – appear on special flip-cover of Hot Press! The cover stars are all winners of the Guinness Arthur’s Day – Play On The Day regional finals who are set to battle it out in the grand final on November 21 in Whelan’s, Dublin.

In Their Thousands won the Northern final to take a spot in the final of the competition which is run in association with Hot Press and 2fm.

The other bands appearing are Protobaby (winners in the west & mid-west), The Calvinists (the south) and The Hot Sprockets (the east).

In Their Thousands are brothers Declan and Aidan McClafferty, Ruairí Friel and Liam Kelly who all hail from the Downings/Carrick and Fanad area.

The have already made a name for themselves in the North West with the original material and recently released their latest EP, Cellars, produced at Tommy McLaughlin’s Termon studio, Attica Sound, which is getting rave reviews.

Each of the regional winners have had a full photo shoot at Hot Press HQ and are now set to appear on a special Flip Cover of Hot Press, on shelves from Thursday, November 15 – 28. 

The winning band will take home a potentially career-changing prize and one that will most certainly have been hard-fought.
