THE rumour mill was in full swing in Bundoran yesterday (Thursday) as to the identity of the lucky owner of Wednesday night’s winning €12.1 million Lotto ticket.
The National Lottery office in Dublin confirmed the ticket for the €12,155,282 rollover jackpot was bought in McGovern’s ‘American House’ shop on the seaside town’s Main Street.
The lucky €12 Quick Pick ticket was purchased some time on Wednesday and the numbers were 13, 14, 24, 31, 35 and 43.
Speaking to the Donegal News yesterday, breathless shop assistant Majella Hegarty was busy blowing up balloons in the popular gift shop.
“There is great excitement down here this morning, but we have no idea if the winner is local or is one of the many visitors to the town,” she said.
