DONEGAL rockers The Plea have just announced an extra date which will see them close their upcoming tour in their home county.
The Plea will be closing their tour, marking the release of their debut album, at the Greenroom Live, Letterkenny, on May 3.
The band, which is made up of Ballyliffn natives Dermot and Denny Doherty, Paul Toland and Strabane native Gerry Strawbridge have just released their new single Glass Waltz from the upcoming debut album The Dreamer’s Stadium.
The Plea will be in Head record store, Belfast next Saturday, March 2 for an in-store performance for the release of their debut album as part of their current tour which began on Tuesday night, February 19, in London’s Undersolo, Hoxton.
In the UK, the band picked up some great press with amazing reviews from a broad spectrum of press from Q to Metro, BBC Online to the Daily Star, and have been finding traction at the holy grail of radio, with plays from the likes of Graham Norton and Bob Harris on BBC and playlist slots on many rock shows and stations.
Other Irish dates on the current tour include Whelan’s, Dublin, on Wednesday, May 1, and the Empire, Belfast, on Thursday, May 2, before their homecoming gig in Letterkenny.
