Fans can expect songs from StrawMan’s albums to date, music that has attracted acclaim all over Ireland and beyond. There will also be the opportunity to hear a few new tracks from his next LP, due for release in June 2023.

Wither, Cycle the Volcano, Drop Tools, The Benefit of Hindsight which he wrote for his children will all get an outing as will The Sopranos inspired ‘I Can Hear Dan Grimaldi Weep’.

Last year Thomas made the huge gesture of releasing a charity festive single ‘Kindness of Strangers’. All proceeds from it went to supporting children whose homes were crumbling due to defective blocks. It too will be unwrapped just in time for Christmas.

Joining Thomas on stage will be bandmates Kevin Halpin and Adrian Harkin while Adam Hannigan on lead guitar and Sean Debney on harmonica will add further depth to the evening’s proceedings. In the role as female leads will be choir singers Geraldine McCafferty and Jennifer Gallagher.

Support on the night will be by local band Rac’s Roll.

Tickets for StrawMan’s gig are €10 and available to buy from http://www.balorartscentre.com
