Six Letterkenny houses for auction

SIX residential properties in Letterkenny are to be sold at auction next month.

The houses are on the books of the Dublin-headquartered digital platform BidX1.

They have 13 Donegal properties, both residential and commercial, going under the hammer on November 10.

The online auctioneer stresses that none of its Donegal properties have been internally inspected or measured.

But that is unlikely to deter first time buyers or bargain hunting investors.

Almost half of the lots set to be sold are homes in Letterkenny.

The cheapest is number 30 Gleann Aeden, Killyclug.

A three bed-semi with gardens to the front and rear, it is being auctioned with a guide price of just €50,000.

At Carnamuggagh, number 24 Ashfield Upper is on the market.

“The property provides a semi-detached three bedroom house with gardens to the front and rear. The property is arranged over ground and one upper floor beneath a pitched roof. We are informed that the property extends to approximately 110 sq. m (1,184 sq. ft),” BidX1’s agent Kevin Keogh said.

It has a guide price of €60,000.

A second similar sized property at Carnamaggagh, 13 Ashfield is also listed.

According to BidX1 it is a semi-detached three bedroom house with a private garden to the rear.

It also has a guide price of €60,000.

Another three-bed semi, this time at 12 Ballymacool Woods, is also set to be sold.

It has an initial asking price in the range of €85,000.

At Correnagh, Letterkenny, an impressive five bedroom house is to go under the hammer.

Vacant at present, the property is on with a guide price of €160,000.

The final Letterkenny house listed by BidX1 is 11 Oran Hall, again at Carnamuggagh.

Described as a “large detached four bedroom house with a south west facing garden to the rear,” it is expected to fetch at least €170,000.

Outside Letterkenny and properties in Ballybofey, Muff and Mountcharles will be sold at auction.

Among the commercial listings are a pub in Gortahork and a former office building in Drumkeen.

Teach Ruairí is on with a guide price of €130,000.

According to BidX1 selling agent Robert Hefferon, “The property is arranged over ground and one upper floor to provide a detached public house.

“Internally the property comprises a ground floor bar and lounge, function room, commercial kitchen and WC together with three bedroom residential accommodation overhead.”
