This year, RTÉ Radio 1’s The John Murray Show returns as the radio home for the series and there will be more interactive content available on www.rte.ie

Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas put out a nation-wide call this week on John Murray’s radio show to find the five new leaders for the 2015 series.

These leaders need to be willing to radically change their eating and exercise habits, and be prepared to inspire listeners and viewers to follow them on their journey.

By the catwalk finale in February 2014 the six leaders had lost a total of 13 stone 9.5 lbs during their Operation Transformation journey.

Kathryn Thomas said: “ We know there’s an obesity crisis in the country, we know that it’s continuing to get worse and I think what the show does is provides a platform to see success and to really engage with five leaders who put themselves out there, show that it’s not easy at times, but the results at the end of it – all that hard work shines through. We need to tackle obesity and we need people to apply.”

As Operation Transformation gets underway, The John Murray Show will follow the leaders’ journeys all the way to the grand finale.
Along the route the OT experts will be dropping in to studio to provide the best tips and advice on calorie counting, healthy recipes, exercise and lots of other transformation topics.
So stay tuned in for exclusive reveals and chats, and to find out if the leaders really are sticking to their fitness regimes and diets.
