Over 1,300 Ukrainian pupils enrolled in Donegal schools

OVER 1,300 Ukrainian students are now enrolled at schools across Donegal.

New figures released this week by the Department of Education confirm that 1,326 Ukrainian students are now attending school here.

At primary school, 859 students are enrolled while 467 students are attending secondary schools across Donegal.

The number of students has increased by 30 since the beginning of April.

Nationally, as of end May, 15,589 Ukrainian pupils had been enrolled in schools across Ireland.

Out of that figure, 10,105 of these pupils had been accommodated in primary schools while 5,484 pupils had enrolled in post-primary schools.
