Oisin Orr and Sir Alex Ferguson are hoping for another big win this Saturday when the impressive Spirit Dancer takes on the Sheema Classic at the Dubai World Cup.
The Sheema Classic is worth €3 million to the winner and Spirit Dancer is expected to be in contention for the big prize.
Bred by Ferguson himself, the Richard Fahey-trained seven year-old has enjoyed a brilliant 12 months.
He won at York and Windsor before claiming the Group Three Strensall Stakes.
Rathmullan man Orr was the jockey as Spirit Dancer won the Bahrain Trophy last November.
They went one better last month but winning the Neom Turf Cup in Saudi Arabia, and earning approximately €2 million in the process.
Orr is booked to race in Lingfield on Friday but will be in Dubai in time for Saturday’s race.
