New year, new challenges for Finn Valley athletes

Finn Valley were right into action as the new year got underway and this weekend saw action at three venues. Aoife McGrath and Mark McPaul were in Edinburgh representing the Ulster squad at the Celtic International. Positive returns from both each finishing 12th with Aoife on scoring team that gathered in the bronze medals while Mark from Ramelton was lead Ulster athlete . They were accompanied to what was the Great Edinburgh cross country with many world lead athletes in action by Neil Martin and Rosemary Finn .
In UUJ an indoor jumps open competition was held and pb performances were delivered by Kyle Leeper 1.55m high and Aine Wilkinson 1.40 who also got out to 4.05 in the long . Abbi Meenan 1.40 and Caitlin Mc Gonagle 1.30 high with Cieran Thompson 1.40 in high .
Aaron Mc Glynn, who had skipped the cross country season, was in Sheffield for a BMC 800m indoor returned 1.58.42 .
