M50 go-slow ahead of city centre protest

THERE were long delays on the M50 in Dublin this morning as mica protesters held a go-slow protest before the city centre demonstration gets underway.
Thousands are expected to attend the march at 12 noon from the Garden of Remembrance.
Mica Action Group spokesperson Michael Doherty warned Dubliners to expect disruption as they take their fight for 100 per cent redress for their crumbling homes to the streets of the capital once again.
There was a huge turnout at the Clanree in Letterkenny early this morning as around 400 protesters boarded buses armed with placards and flags for the protest. Many more set off from Inishowen or are travelling by car.
We will have coverage of the protest throughout the day.
