Gaels enjoying the ‘buzz’ ahead of first final

LETTERKENNY Gaels manager Sean McBrearty says his club are enjoying the buzz as they prepare for their first ever Junior Championship Final on Saturday.

The Gaels have had a great season to date, and have already clinched the Division 4 league title.

The next step would be to secure the Junior crown, and McBrearty feels his side are in good shape ahead of the match.

“There is a great buzz about this week and everyone from the club is looking forward to it.

“The message we are getting back from our supporters is that there is no pressure on us.

“It’s a Junior Final and everyone just wants us to go out and play our own game like we have been doing all season.

“We have had a good year so far. We went on a great run in Division 4, and I couldn’t have asked the lads for any more in the Junior Championship campaign so far.

“I feel our timing has been perfect so far, and the only injury we have is Mark Hunter, who is out for a few months with a ligaments injury.

“Everyone else is fit and raring to go.”
