I remember a Mother’s Day a few years ago when my kids had delivered me breakfast in bed as a Mother’s Day present.
As I sat drinking my lukewarm tea and taking tiny bites from the burnt, cold, unbuttered toast, my youngest sat at the end of my bed, watching me eat and looking jealous. “I just want to know,” she finally said, “when is it Children’s Day?”
