Féile Ealaíne an Earagail continues on TG4 tonight

A NEW performance-driven series bringing the best of music from Donegal is shining a light on the county, surrounding areas and its leading summer event.

Féile Ealaíne an Earagail combines highlights of seven concerts recorded in front of lives audiences at An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny as part of Earagail Arts Festival in the summer of 2022, with specially-curated intimate performances recorded in various locations.

Produced by Aniar TV, the programme is presented by renowned young Gaoth Dobhair singer and musician Cathal Ó Curráin, along with the well-known singer Sibéal Ní Chasaide from Ráth Chairn in County Meath, best known for her incredible rendition of Mise Éire in the 1916 Centenary celebrations.

Féile Ealaíne an Earagail continues on TG4 this Sunday, January 22 at 9.30pm with the popular and multi-award-winning quintet, Goitse, headlining. The group was forged in the white-hot creative crucible of Limerick’s Irish World Academy. Named Live Ireland’s Traditional Group of the Year, Chicago Irish American News Group of the Year, as well as winning the prestigious Freiburger International Leiter award in Germany, Goitse have become a leader of the new generation of traditional Irish ensembles.

Also featured in Programme 3 will be composer and performer Ryan Molloy on piano, Fergal Scahill of We Banjo 3 fame on fiddle, Donegal’s own singer Brian Dannie Minnie Ó Dohmnaill and Tyrone’s Sinead McKenna on fiddle.
