GROWING up on the shores of Ballinass Bay, Falcarragh, Shaun has always been greatly inspired by the surrounding landscape. The ever changing light on the sea, the beauty of the mountains and the dramatic skylines are constant themes in his work.

This current collection of paintings features subjects and places from Shaun’s hometown of Falcarragh. Working mainly in oils, Shaun has also experimented with water colours and acrylics in capturing the natural beauty of his home place.

Shaun had his first solo exhibition in ArtCo, Letterkenny. In 2011 he undertook restoration work in the Cathedral. This consisted of sign writing, designing borders for existing works of art and rediscovering paintings that were lost underneath layers of old paint. He is delighted to have the opportunity to exhibit his work in An Grianán Theatre.
