A DUBLIN singer with close Donegal connections has just released his latest EP and is looking forward to visiting his mother’s native Donegal next week.

Eoin Glackin’s new single and EP title track, Pretty Girl, was released this weekend and next week The Greenroom in Letterkenny will host his long-awaited first full Donegal concert.

The affable Dubliner’s mother Eileen is originally from Ramelton and Eoin is the grandson of the late Tudy and Kathleen McDaid of Aughnish Road.

Having left home when he was just out of school, Eoin moved to London to try and forge a path as a singer/songwriter. Playing all the clubs and pubs that would have him, he caught the attention of London based Spirit Music & Media.

They set up some studio time with London based producer Ian Grimble (Manic Street Preachers, The Clash, Beth Orton, Red Hot Chilli Peppers) who has produced Eoin’s two albums to-date.

Eoin Glackin plays The Greenroom on Friday, September 19.
