Bundoran Main Street to hold Mid Summer Street Party

MACKS Amusements and Olympic Amusements in association with Discover Bundoran have revealed plans to host a massive mid summer street party this Saturday, August 16.

The event which will take place from 6pm – 10pm on the day, will be family focused with cartoon characters, face painting, balloon modeling, magician, music, DJ and bouncy castles & obstacle courses the length of Main Street from News & Views as far as Tower Lane.

Bundoran Tourism Officer Shane Smyth said: “We are very excited to be hosting this event and appreciate all the support from local businesses in helping us to stage it. It’s a unique event, the like of which has never been staged before in Bundoran and we look forward to welcoming as many visitors and locals to it as possible.’

Conor McEniff of Macks Amusements said: “This is something we want to turn into an annual event – all activities will be free or have a nominal charge making it a very affordable evening of fun for the whole family.”

Liam Clancy of the Olympic Amusements said: “We’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time and are thrilled that it is going to be happening for the Summer 2014 season in Bundoran. We’d encourage families and people of all ages to come along and enjoy this fun evening.”
