Army explosive unit called to Milford

THE Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit has been called into Milford following reports of exposed wires on a construction site.

Gardaí received a report of exposed wires at a construction site on Convent Road at approximately 1:50pm this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí said: “A cordon has been established and the services of the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit have been requested.
