Four minute clip of Donegal film ‘Spears’ released

A four-minute clip has been released online from the Donegal thriller Spears.
It was released to coincide with the upcoming first-year anniversary of the film’s cinema release.
The epic sequence features a wide selection of locations spanning four countries and the haunting music of Irish group Sleep Thieves.
Locations that should be familiar to Donegal viewers include Rathmullan House, Florence Cafe, Killybegs and Sliabh Liag.
A familiar face in the clip is local actor Aidan O’ Sullivan.

Over half of the film was shot in Donegal and it joins a recent slate of films shot in the county that includes The Northman, Wildfire and upcoming Paul Mescal drama God’s Creatures
Packed with twists and turns, the plot of Spears kicks off when a private investigator is sent from Donegal to Florence, Italy to track down a woman who mysteriously vanished there.
The film received strong reviews upon its release with Film Ireland calling it a “future cult classic”.
