FOLLOWING on from the world-wide success of his first two videos a Donegal man this week posted his third historical animation.
John Ruddy from Letterkenny is the mastermind behind the Manny Man videos which have been viewed all over the world.

Last October he posted his first video, Irish History in 6 Minutes – Manny Man Does The History of Ireland’ which amassed over 30,000 in only five days and since has been viewed over 100,000 on YouTube.

John quickly followed his first video up with an even bigger project, taking on the History of World War I which also went viral and Manny Man Does The History of World War I in Six Minutes has since been watched over 300,000 times.

The Letterkenny man, who is also a talented actor, as well as animator, spent months working on the script, with the assistance of friend and local historian Kieran Kelly, before starting the laborious task of drawing hundreds of pictures for the video.

And it appears as if his newest video could possibly surpass the success of John first two. In less than a day Manny Man Does The History of World War II in Seven Minutes has been viewed over 130,000 times and considering that the annual Memorial Day commemorations are being held this weekend the publication of the video is very timely.

Although there will always be the odd person ‘picking’ on things, they tend to forget that there is only so much you can fit in to such a short time frame.
Overall the response to all Manny Man videos has been incredible and people have congratulated the talented Letterkenny man on his work from all over the world.
