A Met Éireann spokesperson told the Donegal News it will be a chilly and frosty start to Good Friday but it will be a bright and fresh day with some light breezes.

“Moving on to Saturday, it will be cloudy with occasional spells of rain and light south to southeast breezes,” they said.

“Unfortunately, Easter Sunday will be wet and breezy with southeasterly winds.

“There will be bright spells and scattered showers, but it will be cooler with mild southerly breezes.

“Temperatures will remain average for this time of year, around 10 to 11 degrees.”
