Third water burst in 12 days at Raymochy Rosbracken supply

WORK is currently underway to fix a burst pipe in the Raymochy Rosbracken area.

This is the third burst in 12 days as residents continue to be plagued with ongoing water supply issues.

Uisce Eireann are currently at the scene of the burst and working to resolve the issue.

The utility has recently put an application forward for funding to have this line upgraded but the application is in the early stages.

Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly said it is shocking that supply continues to be interrupted in the area.

“Once again another water bust in the area.

“This is the third bust in 12 days and it is absolutely shocking.

“I have once again logged this with Irish water and they are on route to resolve this problem.
“The question is for how long this time.
“Although Irish water have put an application forward for funding to have this line upgraded I am still putting extra pressure on to ensure this application is successful and that this infrastructure is upgraded as soon as possible.
“This is totally unacceptable for the residents in these areas.
“Works are now underway to have the bust repaired and water restored but I will continue to keep pressure on to have this infrastructure updated as soon as possible,” Cllr Kelly.
