Irish language signage spend
An estimated €60,000 will be spent by Donegal County Council this year on ensuring that correct road signage in Irish is in place. This is part of an ongoing programme (a similar amount was spent in 2024) to repair and replace signage in order to comply with the requirements of the Official Languages Act.

Motorists advised to avoid Mongorry Road due to ice
Motorists are being advised to avoid the L1064/3 Mongorry Road from Glenmaquin School through Mongorry as it is considered hazardous due to icy conditions. Donegal County Council has issued the alert amid icy and dangerous road conditions in that area.
