Stunning new wall calendar launched

A stunning wall calendar by Éamonn Coyle, a native of Brinaleck, Gaoth Dobhair and who is based in Dublin is now available.

The calendar ‘Féilire 2024’ is entirely in the Irish language and it features some of Ireland’s most wild and rugged landscapes and seascapes.

Éamonn produces a calendar each year and he travels the length and breadth of Ireland throughout the year in order to capture the beautiful scenery of Ireland and also the wildlife to present them as a collection for everyone to enjoy in their own home or to give as a gift.

It features photographs from every province in Ireland, with a big picture of a scenic place and two or three smaller pictures of animals for each calendar month.

Gearóid Ó Broin wrote all the texts including the introduction along with some research as well. The proofreading was by Ruairí Mac Fhiongháile.

Éamonn has a long passion for photography and loves to travel throughout Ireland capturing some awe-inspiring scenes along the way.

Some of his landscape and wildlife photographs are frequently seen in the Irish Times, Irish Independent and on the RTÉ and UTV weather forecast bulletins.

Two poems by the Gaoth Dobhair poet, Máire Dinny Wren are featured in Féilire 2024.

They are ‘Sláinte na nÉan’ and ‘Loirg’. Éamonn said that it is a cause for particular joy to have the powerful and meaningful words in the purest of Donegal Irish composed by this talented poet.
