St Eunan’s last picked up the Donegal Club SHC title way back in 1972.
For a club of their size, Conor Parke says that 48-year baron spell has to come to an end. The 26-year-old already has two SFC medals for the Black and Amber at home and he’s picked up a string of titles hurling for his county at various grades.
It’s approaching five decades now but if the Letterkenny men could take the Munster Cup back to O’Donnell Park once again on Saturday evening, Parke says the achievement would be right up there with anything he’s ever achieved in sport.
“It would be massive,” he said. “This is our third final now. The first came along in 2017. We’ve made strides every year, probably since 2016 really. Getting to the final those times was seen as a big achievement but we now need to kick on and win one.”
