St Catherine’s keep up the pressure at the top

Kilmacrennan Celtic 0 St Catherine’s 2

St Catherine’s kept the pressure on at the top of the table with a convincing 2-0 win over Kilmacrennan Celtic at the Letterkenny Community Centre.

The Killybegs side took the lead when Conor Doherty struck from 25 yards and found the bottom corner.

They doubled their advantage just after the hour mark as a long ball over the top found substitute Josh Cunningham who squared for Darragh Murrin to tap into an empty net.

The game was reversed to the Community Centre due to the weather making Emerald Park in Killybegs unplayable and the conditions weren’t great in Letterkenny either with the away side having a massive wind advantage in the first half.

Despite that, it was the hosts who had the first chance as James Doherty found Conor Black with a ball over the top but he hit the side netting.
