SMYTH – The death has occurred at his home in Killult, Falcarragh of Dr. Lawrence Smyth DPhil. Donegal Person of the Year 1979, former teacher in PCC Falcarragh and esteemed member of the IARC.
Pre-deceased by his brother Raymond.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Rosaleen; his family Greg, Chris and Patricia; his brother Con and sister Mary. Larry will be missed by all his family, neighbours, teaching colleagues, IARC members and many friends throughout the country.

Lawrence’s remains will repose at his home in Killult from 4 pm today Sunday. Funeral from there on Tuesday at a time to be confirmed. Condolences and messages of sympathy to the family may be left in the condolence below.

I just heard the news. I am heartbroken for you Rosaleen, Greg Chris and Patricia , His memory will remain with me forever he was such a life force , it is so hard to describe the full length of his great personality and the friendship he offered wjithout expecting any favours for that great honour. He walked me down the Church and you too Rosaleen after Frank’s funeral, they will be nattering together in Heaven. I will be at the Church in Falcarragh in spirit.
