SHARKEY, Máire

SHARKEY – The death has taken place at South Shields Hospital, England of Máire Sharkey, Elaghbeg, Burnfoot.

Much loved daughter of Danny Sharkey, retired N.S. Teacher and Principal of St. Aengus’ N.S., Bridgend and the late Máire, dear sister of Donal, Patrick and John.

Deeply regretted by her father, brothers, her wider family circle and friends.

Maire was my supervisor in older adults services at Monkwearmouth Hospital when I was a trainee Clinical Psychologist. I feel priveleged to have worked with and learned a lot from Maire in this time. My heart goes out to her family.
