Harps took the lead in the ninth minute when Sean Houston charged down the field and played the ball out to the left to Ryan Curran, who supplied a low cross into the box and his strike-partner Scully pounced to put the home side ahead.

Adam Hanlon went close to doubling Harps’ lead but his shot was spectacularly saved by Peter Cherrie, and Ollie Horgan’s team were one goal in front at the end of a largely uneventful first half.

Tony McNamee almost grabbed a second for Harps in the 66th minute, but the home side didn’t create too many openings after that.

Bray pushed forward in the final twenty minutes, but they didn’t have a real chance of note, and Harps claimed all three points.
