Rovers prove too strong for Harps

Finn Harps 0-3 Shamrock Rovers

Finn Harps’ good run of form came to an end tonight as they were well beaten by Shamrock Rovers in Ballybofey.

The visitors had the better of the first half and a seventh minute goal from Ronan Finn, and a penalty from Dylan Watts helped them into a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.

Harps improved in the second half, but they couldn’t find a goal to bring them back into contention, and Rovers grabbed a third in the 84th minute from Aaron Greene. The Tallaght men ran out comfortable winners.

Ollie Horgan’s Harps will help for better luck when they take on local rivals Derry City on Friday night at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
