RNLI Mayday bucket collection to take place tomorrow

A MAYDAY bucket Collection will take place in the Letterkenny Aldi Stores on Friday May 26 from 9am until 7pm.

A spokesperson for the RNLI said, “Every little helps, so please support this very worthy cause.

“The Lifeboats been answering Mayday calls for nearly 200 years, but as summer approaches, we could be the ones sending out a Mayday Call instead.

“Congratulations to the brilliant Lifeboat Crew members from Bundroan, Arranmore and Buncrana who recently climbed Mount Errigal in their full kit, all in aid of the May Day Challenge to raise funds for this very worthwhile charity.

“These volunteers go out in the best of gear and equipment and are highly trained for whatever may face them, and fundraising ensures that they have that the best supports, to save lives and prevent drowning.

“We regularly see the Buncrana lads out on practice and undoubtedly, they’re going to be facing another busy summer season, so will you go the distance and answer their Mayday Call?”
