A statement on the website said, “The good news is that the Aurora is still going strong this morning across the USA with strong aurora activity across the pond.

“It is also looking highly likely we will have another massive show again tonight and the even better news is that the 2nd CME coronal mass ejection hit earth this morning which will increase the risk later this evening again with strong G3 storms possible.

“There will be a bit more cloud around tonight but some clear spells in the mix also.

“Stay tuned for further updates closer to this evening.”

Meanwhile, Barra Best also provided a positive update.

He said, “There’s another chance to see them tonight when the sky clears.

“Avoid areas with light pollution such as cities and large towns, and the further north the better.”
