There will be a guide service in place for the duration of the season and the team looks forward to welcoming visitors to the Mill throughout the summer.

The news was confirmed by Patrick O’Donovan TD, Minister of State at the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief.

It comes as Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh called on Donegal County Council to engage with the Office of Public Works (OPW) to ensure the tourist attraction reopens.

The issue was discussed at a recent meeting of the Letterkenny Milford Municipal District when the Fine Gael councillor said he has been raising this for a number of years now and told members the buildings were in the ownership of the OPW since 2010/11.
