Met Éireann issue weather warning for Donegal

MET Éireann have issued a Level Yellow weather alert for Donegal.

The moderate weather warning is for heavy rainfall in the county. 

Significant rainfall accumulations from heavy showers and longer spells of rain are to be expected. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible.

The potential impacts of the rainfall are localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling.

The alert will be in place from this evening, Wednesday, August 27 at 6pm and will last until Thursday, August 28 at 6pm.

The areas that will be affected by this warning are Donegal, Clare, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
