The Peace Proms Concert, organised by Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, is more than just a performance, it’s a movement that promotes peace, unity and friendship through music.
Established as a cross-community initiative, Peace Proms draws tens of thousands of children from every corner of Ireland and Northern Ireland to perform in regional workshops and arena concerts which have taken place so far in Waterford and Dublin woth more concerts in Limerick this weekend.
At the SSE Arena on Sunday last, the atmosphere was electric.
Choirs of young singers joined the pipe bands and orchestra under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Greg Beardsell, creating a powerful and uplifting musical experience.
For the Letterkenny and District Pipe Band members, performing in such a setting was both an honour and an unforgettable milestone and experience in their musical journeys.
Peace Proms continues to promote friendship and community spirit through music, and for the Letterkenny band members, performing at the SSE Arena was a memorable and proud occasion.
