RUMOURS that the upcoming UFC Featherweight World Title fight between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo is in doubt are currently spreading like wildfire online, and Donegal’s Mixed Martial Arts Star Joseph Duffy has been quick off the mark to offer his services.
Las Vegas-based Martial Arts Correspondent Ana Hissa has posted a number of Tweets today and yesterday which have fuelled those rumours.

Meenbanad native Duffy, who caused huge stir on his entry to the UFC, responded quickly saying he would be willing to step and beat the Dubliner again.
If Jose is out I'm willing to step in and beat @TheNotoriousMMA again!! @ufc @danawhite

Duffy, who has a professional record of 13-1-0, announced his arrival to the UFC Lightweight division with a hugely impressive first round TKO at UFC185 in Dallas and is due to be a co-main event at UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow, but with the affable Donegal man being the last fighter to beat McGregor, this is a replacement MMA fans would be very keen to see.
Although he has never competed at featherweight, Duffy’s new coaching team at Tristar in Montreal, Canada, said very early after he joined them that they firmly believed he could make the move down from lightweight.
