McGETTIGAN – The death has taken place of Anton McGettigan, Cnoc na Murleog, Downings. His remains are reposing at his late residence Funeral from there on Monday, 17th August going to the church of St. John The Baptist Carrigart for Requiem mass at 11 am which can be viewed live on Facebook via Mevagh Parish page, Internment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary I have just heard about Anton’s passing. My deepest sympathy to you and the family. I am really stunned at this very sad news. If I’d known sooner I would have been at the funeral. All of the good times that Anton, yourself, Rosemary and myself had in Downings are flood into my mind
