McDAID – The peaceful death has taken place at his home on Tuesday, 16th March 2021 of John McDaid, retired Garda Sergeant, Listillion, Letterkenny. Pre-deceased by parents John and Kathleen McDaid, Munterneese, Mountcharles.
Deeply missed by loving wife Helen, daughters Serena, Edel, Laura and son, Shaun, sisters Veronica and Kathleen and brother, Michael, grandchildren Lexie, Rhys and Mollie, son-in-law Rory, daughter-in-law Yolanda, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

John’s Remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there on Thursday, 18th March 2021 at 10.15 am travelling via the Old Road past Haughey Joinery, going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny for 11 am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on https://www.facebook.com/irishmartyrs. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers if desired to the Oncology Day Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o any family member.
