MARIO ROSENSTOCK is set to make a return to Letterkenny this week with his “best show yet” Gift Grub.
Gift Grub is coming to the Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday, June 30 for a two hour show that he promises will be “action-packed” and “laugh filled”.
The brand new show has been that successful Rosenstock said they had to add an additional 12 dates after the first set of shows sold out.
“Myself and Ian Dempsey were talking the other day and we think it is the strongest show we put together over the last 13 or 14 years,” he said.
Speaking to the Donegal News, Mario said the audience can expect the show to be hugely interactive.
“When you first come into the Mount Errigal you are going to see a huge screen in front of you.
“On that big screen I can interact with myself. I might be on stage as Miriam O’Callaghan but I might be talking to Pearse Doherty and Paschal Donohue at the same time.
“I might be yanking people out of the crowd as well,” he said.
In the show you can expect to see hilarious impressions of Roy Keane, Katie Taylor, the Healy-Rae brothers and Christy Moore, to name a few.
“I might come on stage on a scooter as Michael D Higgins or singing a song as Daniel O’Donnell.
“There is a big piece about Daniel in the show which is great news for Donegal,” he said.
Last year Mario brought his ‘Greatest Hits’ show to Letterkenny, however he said Gift Grub is more daring as there is a lot more new material in it.
With his show on Friday being the 31st show of the tour, Mario said this is the final time he will perform Gift Grub.
Following the performance Mario has decided to take two years out to concentrate on other projects. Along with continuing on the radio, Mario has a few TV projects coming up.
The other thing he hopes to do is set up a model of Gift Grub live for the UK market in the hope of doing a couple of shows in London next year.
