A man aged in his 60s has sadly died after getting into difficulty in the water at an incident at Marmaeelan yesterday evening.
Gardaí and local emergency services responded to an incident at Marameelan shortly before 8pm on Monday evening.
A man (60s) had gotten into difficulty in the water at the location.

The man was removed from the water. He was later pronounced deceased.
Arrangements will now be made for a post-mortem examination and the local coroner has been notified.
