Life rings stolen from boat at pier in Kerrykeel

GARDAÍ in Milford are investigating the theft of two life rings/buoys that were stolen from a boat at Ballywhoriskey Pier, Kerrykeel. 

The theft occurred between Monday May 29 and Saturday June 3.

A spokesperson for Donegal Gardaí said, “Ring buoys are vital pieces of life saving equipment and it is so important that such equipment is present in the case of an emergency.

“Every year, particularly in the Spring and Summer we receive reports in relation to the theft of boats, boat trailers, outboard motors and electronic/safety equipment.

“There are measures that can be taken to protect your valuable property and reduce the risk of theft. By improving your security measures, you will greatly reduce your risk of falling victim to a crime – https://www.garda.ie/…/crime…/boats-equipment-.pdf
