Letterkenny Job event attracts hundreds of people

ONE of the county’s biggest employer held a successful recruitment day which attracted hundreds of potential employees as Zeus aims to expand its workforce.

Zeus, based at IDA Business Park, Lisnennan, Letterkenny, is a leading polymer extrusion manufacturer, continually developing new products and optimising processes.

On Saturday, hundreds of people turned out to explore their career opportunities as the company held a recruitment day at the Clanree Hotel.

The company currently has 40 full time, permanent roles available.

Some of the roles available will suit those with a background in polymer engineering such as the Extrusion Process Engineer and Graduate Engineer positions.

Others job opportunities don’t require higher level degrees.

Leona McGrenaghan, HR Co-Ordinator at Zeus, said they were delighted with Saturday’s turnout and the company is hopeful of filling its vacancies.

“It exceeded all exceptions.

“We met with many people from all over the northwest who wanted to know more about Zeus, what we do, our job openings and our future plans for the Letterkenny facility.

“It’s great to see the depth of talent we have here in Donegal and the wider north-west region.

“Based on the interest we had on the day and subsequently through our career portal “WorkatZeus.com,” we are very confident that we can fill our current vacancies.

“These full time, permanent roles are a great opportunity for people who are thinking about a career change or who want to return to Donegal.

“Next year, we also want to focus on enhancing our Graduate and Apprenticeship opportunities so we would encourage those who are interested to sign up to job alerts on our career portal,” said Ms McGrenaghan.

Zeus manufactures extruded polymeric materials for customers in medical, automotive, aerospace, energy, and other industrial markets.

The current available roles in extrusion process engineer, graduate engineer. product development coordinator, machine shop/maintenance technician, production operators and quality inspectors.

The company are hopeful of expanding the workforce with more positions to be made available in 2023/4.
