KILCAR became the first club in the hat for tomorrow night’s semi-final draw following this routine win over Four Masters in Killybegs this afternoon.
Michael Molloy’s men had eased their way through the group stages with comfortable wins over Naomh Muire, Killybegs and Termon and rarely had they to get out of second gear at Eamonn Byrne Memorial Park against Masters.
Leading by three at the break (1-03 to 0-03) the men from Towney completely overran Ciaran McBride’s charges in a quarter final tie that was sadly lacking in Championship intensity.
Stephen McBrearty was top scorer (1-05) while older brother Patrick added (0-04) with wing-back Ryan McHugh scoring 1-01. Their other goal was scored by Andrew McClean
The Kilcar players and management will now tune into Raidio na Gaeltachta tomorrow night for the semi final draw. That game will take place in two-weeks time.
