ON Monday evening, at the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Donegal Friendly Business Awards in the Silver Tassie Hotel, Patrick Gildea Hairdressing won the 2015 JCI Donegal Friendly Business Award. Patrick Gildea and his young son Oisin collected the award, with Patrick saying he was ‘delighted for his business to be recognised’.
Speaking at the awards ceremony Shona Chambers, JCI Donegal Business Officer, said: “Tonight’s awards are about highlighting businesses that make the extra effort to be as friendly as possible to their customers.” With over 30 excellent businesses short-listed this year competition was again fierce.
Patrick Gildea Hairdressing crowned JCI Donegal’s Overall Friendliest Business 2015. Whoriskey’s Eurospar were successful in securing the award for Customer Care.
Greenes Shoes collected the award for Digital Experience; Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure won the award for Social Media Friendliness.
Simple Simon’s Shop, Donegal Town, picked up the Eco-Friendliness Award. An Grianan Theatre were successful in securing the award for Disability Access and Crafty Kids picked up the award for Shop Layout and Design. The seven winners will now go forward to represent JCI Donegal in the All-Ireland final in Donegal in October.
