Investigations are ongoing after a child was hit by a car in Donegal Town 

INVESTIGATIONS are ongoing after a child was hit by a car in Donegal Town.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of road traffic collision between a pedestrian and car on Upper Main Street, Donegal Town, today, Wednesday, May 15.

The incident occurred at approximately 2pm.

A child has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of what is believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on Upper Main Street, Donegal town between 1.45pm and 2.15pm and are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Donegal town Garda Station on (074) 9740190, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing,” a spokesperson concluded.
