The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has confirmed there were 40 people waiting for beds at Letterkenny General Hospital this morning (Monday), the highest figure at the hospital since they began keeping the records.
Following what’s been described as another extremely busy weekend at the hospital, 18 patients were on trolleys in the Emergency Department this morning, while 22 were on wards, all of them awaiting beds.
