Gardaí appeal following series of burglaries in Letterkenny

GARDAI are appealing for assistance in their investigations into three separate burglaries this weekend. The burglaries, which are not believed to be connected, all occurred during the day time.

There were two burglaries in Letterkenny on Friday. A house was broken into via the back door at Ballyraine and a television, as well as a PlayStation console were stolen. The second break-in was in Lisnennan. Again the back door was kicked in and cash was stolen.

The third burglary was also in Letterkenny. On Saturday the back door of a house was kicked in at Glencar. Items stolen included jewellery and a PlayStation game console. Last weekend €13,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a Letterkenny business premises.

A spokesperson for the gardaí urged members of the community and business people to be extra vigilant in safe-guarding their property.
