FIANNA FÁIL Minister Norma Foley said she is “privileged” to work alongside such a “great” team in Donegal, during her visit to the county last week.
Taking time out of her busy schedule, the minister met with local Fianna Fáil candidates ahead of next week’s local elections.
Overall, Fianna Fáil has 15 candidates hoping to be elected to Donegal County Council.
The candidates include Patrick McGowan, Gerry Crawford, Fionán Bradley, Paul Canning, Martin McDermott, Liam Blaney, Donal Coyle, Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly, Ciaran Brogan, Claudia Kennedy, Michéal Naughton, Martin Hegarty, Anthony Molloy, Anne Marie Rodgers and John Reilly.
Speaking to the Donegal News during her visit, Minister Foley said these candidates have built up a “very strong” reputation
for themselves.
“It is a reputation of being rooted in community and serving the community.
“I am really proud of the team we have here.
“We have new candidates in Donegal but we also have the experience of those who have served previously.
“It is a dynamic team, it is an energetic team and I would say an ambitious team.
“They are ambitious for their local areas and for their municipal districts.
“Many of them have severed already with great distinction and there is enormous potential for the new Fianna Fáil candidates to serve likewise,” she concluded.
