€50,000 zebra crossing in Raphoe

THE provision of a new zebra crossing in Raphoe is expected to cost Donegal County Council up to €50,000.

Works are now almost completed on the provision of the crossing which also has a “raised table” to help slow traffic.

While the cost may raise a few eyebrows, it reflects the ever increasing demands on the local authority for even relatively small construction projects. The total cost also includes its design and related matters.
